Happy Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween!!! Roll Tide Roll!!!

Max loved to "trick my treat" tonight!

Give me a C-A-N-D-Y!!! What's that spell....SUGAR!SUGAR!SUGAR!!!!

Because I'm 3, I change my mind every 5 minutes about what I want to be, so I had a costume change tonight in the middle of trick or treating!! My Nana made this awesome Robin Hood costume for me. Grandad found the bow and arrows for me too.

I love my new stroller even though I'm not quite walking. Brother really likes it too!

The princess has made a royal mess, but she enjoyed every bite of it!!

Milly turned one on October 9th! She had a fun party at The Rainbow Room and really enjoyed her first sugar rush! She is saying lots of words, but her favorites are "dog", "hi" - when she holds a phone to her ear, and "more" b/c she wants to eat whenever she sees food!!

Max's First Day of School

Max was just as excited about his Alabama backpack and Lightning McQueen lunch box as he was about school! He said he was going to go "all my by self!"

Here's the big guy with his good friends, Sophia and Calvin. I think Max and Sophia aren't too sure about Calvin's plans with his umbrella!

Devotions for school...Max's good friends - Hudson, Gray, Isaac, and Ellie are all in his class! Sophia, Samantha, and Calvin are in different classes, but they get to play together on the playground. Max said he painted today, played on the playground, didn't eat his lunch (except his sandwich was missing!), and told us who got in Time Out which fortunately didn't include him....yet!

Busy, busy, busy!

Three words sum it up! Milly is so busy. She is curious and determined. Right now as I type she is playing with (or eating!!) my shoes. She is all girl as she loves shoes, jewelry, and purses! Max is doing great and so excited about school. We had open house yesterday, and when I came downstairs to leave, he had his backpack on his back and was ready to go!

We have lots of things that I am journaling that I call "Maxisms". Here's one that happened the other night....Milly was feeding herself peas, and Max looked at her and said, "Milly, you are going out of town on those peas!" He must have heard me say a million times that he is going to town on something. It was too funny!

Since my last journal we have been to Boppa and Mimi's cabin in NY where Max caught his first fish. He said his fish was sooo much bigger than it was, so he is a true fisherman at heart! He also held a bullfrog and saw lots of wildlife. Milly loved the canoe and liked talking to the beavers. She is an animal lover as she gets so excited whenever she sees any type of animal.

Nana and Grandad just paid us a visit and kept the kids for Trevor and me to have a getaway weekend. It was great!! While they were here, Max swam all the way across our pool without any help or stopping. He is quite the fish!

We are heading to Laguna Beach this weekend for a retreat for Trevor. We are looking forward to one last beach trip before Trevor's travels start up and Max starts school. I'll post some more pictures soon!

Giddy UP!!!

Lauren Hays invited us to meet her pony, Cocoa! Here she and Mr. Keith are showing Max how to brush Cocoa. He was more interested in feeding the horses than cleaning them!!

Milly wasn't too sure up close...or she smelled something really funny!!

Lauren showed Max how to feed the horses with a carrot in his open palm. He loved it!! This is Murphy - he was the master horse who ran all the others away!!

Milly loved watching and talking to Cocoa from the sidelines.

Yes, they even make a size 2 Croc!!

Lauren's brothers Grant and Taylor were around to play too!

June Beach Trip

We just returned from a great week at Laguna Beach! The kids had a blast at the pool and on the beach. Max and Milly went to their first water park - Shipwreck Island. Max loved it because there were 2 pirate ships!! He went on his first waterslide, and Milly had a ball in the baby section.
